Dreams fuel our ambitions and drive us towards success. Echoing the sentiment of Mao's saying "no little dreams," it's essential to have aspirations if we want to achieve greatness.

With Christmas approaching, many companies and families are preparing for holiday parties and bonuses. While the spirit of celebration fills the air, it's disheartening to hear stories of underwhelming bonuses.

Some examples include receiving a book on how to improve sales as a bonus for the sales department or a mere $10 Starbucks card. Another company gave memberships to the "Jelly of the Month Club" as their Christmas bonus. As leaders, we should strive to show appreciation and value to our employees by offering meaningful rewards that reflect their hard work and dedication. One company even refused to give bonuses altogether, citing personal beliefs as the reason.

When it comes to 'black tie optional' events, I find them a tad unnecessary. Why dangle the carrot of choice when the expectation is clear? It's black tie for a reason – a symbol of elegance and uniformity. This 'optional' business just muddies the waters. If you ask me, it's better to be clear cut about these things. In response to feedback from passengers, Southwest Airlines now offers additional assistance for larger individuals. By notifying the airline in advance, these passengers are provided with an extra seat at no additional cost. This thoughtful gesture ensures a more comfortable travel experience for everyone involved.

Recently, on a Carnival cruise ship, an adventurous guest decided to go fishing using a rod from one of the upper decks. The unsuspecting fisherman caught a rather unappetizing fish, which he proudly documented on social media. However, his joy was short-lived, as Carnival promptly identified him and his actions led to a lifetime ban from sailing with the company.
